I am trying something new: not doing everything myself!

I am bad at many things:

Drawing.

Doing my makeup.

Anything vaguely athletic.

Not falling down.

Me trying and failing to do…everything.

But here is what I am worst at:

Asking for help.

Listen. I am the first born daughter of immigrants. As I’m guessing my buddy Olivia will tell you, we were not raised to relax. Instead, we were raised to do everything and be everything for everyone, and to do it all ourselves, without complaining or asking for help.

Luckily, you lovely subscribers have my back!

For the past year and change, I’ve stuffed my feelings behind a bunch of bad jokes shared some super vulnerable stuff, and you all have embraced me. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for this - you, my readers, are truly the best.

You’re also a big reason for my new years resolution: to ask for help. Like, whenever I need it.

And, dear readers, I need it now.

A few ways you can help Moon Rabbit grow

As the planet burns and the administration systematically takes away every one of our civil rights, I’m leaning into Moon Rabbit. I’m doing it because I love working with writers, I love teaching, and I love having the power to run my bsiness inclusively and compassionately. I’m also doing it because I am trying to make sure my income doesn’t get affected by all the freezing and furloughing and what not - I’ve got a kid to raise, and I’m not messing with her future.

All this to say, I am trying to get myself more clients and students who are ready to make beautiful art - but I need your help! Here are a few ways that you can help Moon Rabbit grow, all from the comfort of your own home":

1. Leave a comment. Or leave 10! Your comments get me more views. Because SEO, digital marketing, algorithms, and other words I only pretend to understand. Anyway, the point is, your reactions help me! So if you like this post, please comment below!!!

2. Share these posts. Moon Rabbit runs hops on word of mouth, and good people know good people. I would deeply appreciate it if you could send me your good people by sharing this newsletter with them! Even if they’re not writers, building my numbers really helps. So if you know someone who would enjoy my tomfoolery (a word I’m using because apparently I am an 80 year old white woman from a Mark Twain novel) then hit the share button below!

3. Upgrade to a paid subscription. I know many of us are strapped for cash, so please don’t feel obligated to do this. Plus, they’re a great way to try out the Moon Rabbit approach before you take a class. So far, the picture book intensive workbook is my favorite!

7. Take a class. Haven’t taken a class yet? Well, try one! I teach writers at every level, and you don’t have to be a writing genius or a published diva to take my class.
